About Oak

Capital markets discipline, applied to life insurance

Our principals came to life insurance from Wall Street trading and investment firms. Since 2003 they have treated life insurance as what it is: a long-dated financial asset that has to be structured, funded and managed.

Our view

Built to last as long as the plan

Oak Insurance Group is a life insurance agency and premium finance specialist working with high net worth families, business owners and the professionals who advise them. We place coverage with nearly every national life carrier and arrange financing with established banks.

Too much of the industry is built around the sale. A financed policy can last decades, through rate cycles, carrier changes and changes in a family's life. We design for that whole span: matching loan terms to funding schedules, forecasting collateral, and setting the exit before the first premium is paid.

Our principals partnered in 2015, and since 2003 they have premium financed more than $12 billion of life insurance. We work alongside carriers, banks, trust companies, CPAs and attorneys, and we keep the advisor at the center of the client relationship.

Leadership

The team behind Oak

In 2015, Jordan Miller, Matt Sandvig and Beau Gayner joined forces to unite three disciplines that rarely sit at the same table: Wall Street capital markets, elite life insurance distribution and premium finance engineering. Together they built a firm that designs, finances and stewards some of the most sophisticated life insurance plans in the country, and has premium financed more than $12 billion of coverage.

Jordan Miller

Jordan Miller

Principal

Jordan is a nationally recognized top-producing life insurance agent and the owner of two agencies: Mountain West Insurance Agency, which he has built since 2010 into a respected life insurance general agency, and Oak Insurance Group. Known for sharp problem solving, he has a reputation for designing and implementing finance solutions in a changing insurance market, and is a sought-after recruiter, seminar speaker and mentor to top-producing agents across the country. Through Mountain West, Jordan brings Oak a deep bench of agent relationships and the field perspective of a producer who still writes large cases himself.

Principles

How we work

Structure before sale

No case is presented until the loan, collateral and exit have been tested.

Discretion

Financial and medical information is handled with the care a family office expects.

Annual stewardship

Every financed plan is reviewed every year, for as long as the loan is outstanding.

Our name

Why Oak

An oak grows slowly and stands for generations. That is the timeline our clients plan on, and the one we design for.
